Chris Davis is My 250th LinkedIn Connection

O.K. Everybody drop what you’re doing and check out what Chris Davis has going in Columbus, Ohio. He is a fellow Toastmaster who specializes in technology and communication. We’re obviously cut from the same cloth so I can’t think of a better type of person to have helped me reach this milestone in building my virtual professional network. So now you see why you should join Toastmasters International and create a LinkedIn profile right? Just look at how Chris has leveraged his communication and leadership skills to become a successful business owner. No reason you can’t do the same or similar, with your particular life objectives.

Chris and I belong to the Public Speaking Network and the Black Data Processing Associates groups on LinkedIn. There are literally hundreds of common interest groups you can join to network with like minded people. LinkedIn is by far the premier forum for the entire world to beat a path to your door and pay you to help improve their lives. It’s all about helping the other guy and this is the perfect way to begin doing that.

So, Why Are You Moving to Chicago?

Because I’m an actionist and I have to move to the media center of the Midwest in order to make my dream happen the way I want it to. Not to mention that God is thoroughly confirming this thing on a daily basis by introducing us to people clear from Alabama all the way to Illinois who are hooking us up with contacts and information.

You guys know my tag line for MartyBLOGs right? “Don’t be a finger pointer, be an actionist!” I’m making it a point to be a living example for you now. For those of you who don’t know, I’m going to DePaul University to work on my masters in Digital Media, Animation concentration in order to pursue my arto-digital passions which will quite naturally rub off onto my bloginess.

Yes, I make up these phrases(actionist, arto-digital) as I go. Feel free to use them, just give me credit for creative origination and we’ll be cool. But that’s why I’m going back to school, to learn how to take full advantage of my creativity and be financially rewarded for it. And I’m definitely going to have to write a series of posts, maybe even a book and share all the secrets of how this entire exciting adventure is unfolding for my family.
