Eliott Spitzer has to be the biggest idiot in the country right now. Fortunately he is also New York’s “ex-Governor” but he is still working overtime to get off the hook. He should have been trying to get off the hooker. Wait a minute, that’s exactly how he got in trouble isn’t it? I digress.

Back to my point. I know every state and city has their own laws and legal precedents but you have to look at the bigger national picture of the legal system under which we live when such a high profile crimes take place. It’s the only way to get a full scale perspective on this particular facet of American life.

Now, having written this as a starting premise, I have a question. If Elliot (I don’t mess with those nasty street ho’s, only the high quality tricks for me) Spitzer gets a free pass from prosecution then doesn’t everyone need to shut the heck up about Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick? And doesn’t Marion Barry needs to be released from prison yesterday?

C’mon now. I’ll be dog-gone if Kilpatrick can be unseated AND be considered for prosectution for normal cheating and Spitzer goes free. Yes, Kwame’s indiscretion is immoral and totally wrong. I don’t support or endorse such stupidity but it is not illegal. Hooking, which is just high-end prostitution, is illegal, and involves organized crime more often than not. But Eilliot wants to get away with it and have us believe that a resignation is good enough. Can you believe he is seriously trying to disregard his own image he created for himself and have the rest of us be dumb enough to think that actually makes sense? Man, he must really think you New Yorkers are stupid. Are you going to let him get away with that?

Of course good old Elliot is also supposed to be one of HELLary Clinton’s superdelegates too. And can she really afford to continue shooting off her big mouth when everyone associated with her from Spitzer to Geraldine Ferraro continue to contract hoof-in-mouth disease on a weekly basis now? Yeah, I made that tie-in. Yeah, it matters. Fortunately Geraldine had to step down from the campaign trail too. Hillary is clearing the bench. Any more subs left to play the game? I digress again.

Well I’m going to leave it at that for now. Gotta’ write a “hang in there” note to Kwame and send a care package to Marion. They need to know that even though they made some incredibly stupid decisions and due process “is being” and “was kicked to the curb” in their cases, somebody is still thinking about how the letter and spirit of law applies to EVERYONE. In the mean time somebody make sure Elliot keeps his soldier in the barracks. If he thought he was paying for a high end ride before, he is definitely in for one heck of a ride for the forseable future.
