My PC Has Flaked Out For the Last Time

Loyal readers, I have not fallen off the face of the earth. My desktop finally took a dive late last week. I’m only now getting the time to put up a post at the library. Thank you tax dollars at work!

We’re going to replace the nearly ten year old unit – yeah I’m frugal – with an Apple of some sort. Then I’ll be back on pace in the comfort of my own home again!

Until then hit me up with some comments and tell me how you’ve been.

Did you say “going to replace the nearly ten year old unit” ? That’s an accomplishment in itself!

OK, Marty, sorry about your crash but you certainly got your money’s worth. I’m not mad at you, my brother.

I’m learning to use this new computer. It has Windows Vista which I’m not at all crazy about. There are some features that are worth the switch.

Anyhoo, holla when you’re back up to speed. Have a great weekend!

Yes Dre. We bought that bad boy at the Gateway store in Columbus, GA back in 1998. It was ready to croak. LOL!!!

Vanessa, I squeezed every electron and dollar that I could. It finally gave up the ghost. Hopefully we’ll be back up to speed next Friday.

Hey, man, I wondered where you went! Glad you’re back, ’cause I miss reading your excellent posts – no jive. I think you should get the Mac, I’ve heard nothing but raves about it. Take care.

    Hello Marty,

I’ve owned an Apple computer since 1984. Once you switch, you’ll never go back for a plethora of reasons.

And I love it already. I’m back in stride again people. I think I’ll post something new tomorrow morning.

Hey Manchild. I guess I’m returning home then, because my mother bought me a IIe back in ’84. I’ll bet she still has it. I’m going to call her tomorrow and see if she does.

Glad to see that you’re almost back in the mix! I lost my Internet access for a few weeks in June …and I must admit that I enjoyed the peacefulness of wireless access at the public library.

    Anyhow, welcome back!

    peace, Villager

In that respect it has given my brain a chance to unwind. Well time to get back to writing again.
